Making the World Brighter

It's hard to miss Caitlyn as each run she always wears something bright. Different to the normal blacks & grays worn by runners. I still remember the first @lilbigrunclub session on the warm up lap she came over and she said hey, which always helps a new person in the group. Even though she hasn't been running long she has been consistently showing up for the sake of having fun and community.

Coming from a repetitive gym background, where she would do the same workouts and eat the same things. Before her health took a turn as a result of an eating disorder. It created an unhealthy relationship with herself and looking a certain way.

Often a pressure felt by a lot of women. Not only from my conversation with Caitlyn, a number of other women in the project, running has started to shift her perspective on who she is, running for the love of it and developing a healthy relationship with herself, making being active fun again.

A tattoo on her arm "pain shapes a woman into a warrior" sums up the crucible hard moments that you experience, that allows you to see something you need to work on in order to be a better & stronger version of yourself. The core message I can resonate with a lot!

You can see the energy and enjoyment she has from running and yoga is amplified in her business. Now almost 5 years old, it has developed from working on her kitchen table to working with brands across the world creating content. She found she had a skill for developing her own page in the early days. Now has transferred the creatives to team members that have a better creative instinct and allows her to focus on the operations and process in the business which she really enjoys.

@erikageraerts is Caitlyn's long time friend to her first @lilbigrunclub which happened to be the project run No.35. An example of her looking to encourage more people into the communities.
